At Trustland Construction, our dedication to the well-being of our employees and our community extends beyond construction sites. We believe in making a meaningful impact, and in recent times, we have focused our efforts on supporting vital mental health causes.
A Tribute to Remember: The Dave Carroll Memorial Fund
In 2020 we established the Dave Carroll Memorial Fund in memory of our former colleague, Dave Carroll. This fund plays a pivotal role in financing mental health initiatives for our employees and can be utilised by our wellness champions to support various activities, such as the recent Snowdon staff hike, aimed at fostering camaraderie and well-being.
Standing Against Domestic Abuse: The Paul Lavelle Foundation
Our commitment to improving mental health extends to addressing significant societal issues within our community. We take pride in supporting The Paul Lavelle Foundation, a local charity based in Birkenhead that raises awareness of domestic abuse toward men. Their invaluable outreach programs, educational workshops, and support services create a secure environment for men who need to seek assistance and rebuild confidence.
Championing Mental Health in Sports: Brave Mind
While sports possess the capacity to inspire and uplift individuals Brave Minds, a mental health charity, has uncovered a sobering statistic that at least 25% of rugby players experience mental health challenges. It became unquestionably clear to us that we should support Brave Minds to introduce their impactful initiatives to Caldy Rugby Club, a club we have sponsored for more than three decades in various capacities. We believe that nurturing mental health within the rugby club will foster a culture of fortitude, resilience, and unity.
As Trustland Construction continues to evolve and expand, our dedication to meaningful change remains constant. We recognise addressing mental health necessitates collective action and dedication, and firmly believe the causes we support will exemplify this commitment. We’re not just building structures; we’re building a brighter future where individuals can thrive mentally, emotionally, and physically.
