Up until the pandemic, we were on a steady mission to raise £50,000 for our amazing local Children’s Hospice Claire House before our 50th anniversary next February. Despite reaching over £48,000 the majority of our fundraising efforts were (for obvious reasons) put on hold. Now that things are starting to return to normal, we are glad to say that we’re starting to get back on track.
Managing Director Jon Bagley has so far put himself through an open water triathlon, Hellrunner, The Berlin Marathon, The London Marathon and more in support of the hospice. His latest efforts, however, are even more intense than all of those before; an Ultra Marathon! On the 19th of June, Jon will be following the rather hilly Hadrian’s Wall footpath, setting off from Carlisle Castle to Hexham on a 45-mile run, before completing another marathon stint to the Millenium Bridge across the Tyne the very next day. This is without a doubt an insane challenge that all of us in the office and out on site, are glad we are not doing ourselves, but we are all behind him 100% and want to help spread the word. We appreciate that for many, money is tight at the moment, however, if you can spare a bit of money for a fantastic cause, both ourselves and Claire House would be incredibly grateful!

“Afternoon everybody, firstly I know I can be really annoying and then I ask you to part with your hard-earned money. Also, I know many of you have already sponsored me for running marathons, triathlons and stuff like that. I wouldn’t be asking again unless I was really doing something more than I have already done before. On the 19th of June, I will be running 70 miles across our green and pleasant land from Carlisle to Newcastle. As you all know I’m no Mo Farah, so this really is a challenge and I hope you will be able to support me. To be absolutely clear I fully understand that you all have differing amounts of money and financial commitments so please remember, if you can only spare a few quid, every penny counts and is genuinely appreciated.”
